This narrative is the result of the continuing 'parinigs', lies, and gossips I've been hearing and seeing (on FB) from people who I thought were Christian enough to understand other people's struggles in life.
After all that has happened, I still do not understand why we still need to have fellowship with our fellow Christians when it is usually the same people - the people who you once called brethren/family - that causes you pain, betrayal, and annoyance. These people, whom you've learned to trust and who once led you to Christ, are the same people talking behind your back, telling others your personal issues that you once entrusted them with, which in the first place shouldn't be an issue. I thought that I have already learned not to look on people, and to focus on God instead. But I really cannot grasp why these people would suddenly 'transform' into something they preach against. I cannot understand the connection between their actions and their words. If they preach unity, why are they the same people causing chaos and discord among themselves? If they preach forgiveness and God's grace, why are they the same people condemning others, who they 'think' are not as "holy" as they claim to be? If they preach of honesty and peace, why are they the same people who would twist truth to defend their cause? If you claim your motives to be pure, why destroy someone else's reputation just so you can prove yourselves right? I can't even remember Jesus doing that. I cannot understand why you would even preach what you cannot do. I have always believed that being a Christian doesn't make you holier than the rest of humanity. Weren't you also once a sinner who has just been forgiven by our loving God? Why then would that cause pride in your hearts? And if a fellow Christian doesn't have the same belief or conviction as you do, why would that cause tittle-tattle amongst yourselves? God said that He would give an account for each careless word that we say (Matthew 12:36) so maybe, it'd be better if people would just shut up and you know, get a life, instead of ruining other people's lives. If you can't get over it, then don't. You have every right to torture yourself.
And oh, before I forget, didn't you also do the same thing 3 years ago, when you left your former church (and abandoned the person who fathered you spiritually) because you said that you 'heard' from God? Why then don't you understand why we had to do what we ought to do? Our convictions may be different but we serve only one God anyway (I suppose), so why is it causing you such a big deal now that we had to move to another church? And why are you spreading news that isn't even true? I'm pretty sure you all know that we reap what we have sown, so aren't you wondering now why history keeps repeating itself? Which leads me to ask my final question, did you really hear anything from God? Instead of making non-sense 'parinigs', why don't you just pray and focus on the vision you contend to be of utmost importance?
Of course, our lives must support and validate the message we communicate. Before most unbelievers accept the Bible as credible, they want to know we are credible. That is why the Bible says. “Be sure that you live in a way that brings honor to the Good News of Christ.” — pg316, PDL, R.Warren
