when is it really, really over?

1. Any act of remorse or romance doesn't affect you anymore.
2. You could last a week or a month without communicating with him or her.
3. You have started noticing other people who seem not to exist before.
4. If he or she has started seeing his or her ex, you no longer feel panicky .
5. You have deleted his or her number from your cellphone.
6. You could now look into his or her eyes without "feeling" anything.
7. When you look back and think of the memories-- you now smile, not cry.
8. You don't feel the urge anymore to text or call him or her, not even for old times' sake.
9. Sad songs or sad movies do not make you cry anymore.
10. You have forgiven him or her and yourself.

Unless one has really gotten over a failed relationship, he or she doesn't have the right to enter into a new one. Starting over again on a clean slate has its better rewards than having something that is doomed from the start.
